With an illustrious career spanning 44 years in the Saint John area, William has etched his mark specializing in property law. Over the last decade, he's contributed to the Property Law Advisory Committee for the Law Society of New Brunswick. Currently semi-retired, William is deeply involved in shaping legislation concerning presumed organ donor consent.

Spare Time: William finds solace in boating, golfing, and strumming his guitar.

A dynamic practitioner, Julien boasts a practice rich in diversity. Originally from Montreal, he's adept in both French and English and is honing his Spanish. Before transitioning into law, Julien's journey saw him in the insurance sector and in investor relations. He's an alumnus of the John Molson School of Business, l’Université de Montreal, and l’Université de Moncton, and was awarded the McInnes Cooper award in Tax Law. Called to the NB Bar in 2015, Julien's influence extends beyond the law as he is an integral member of several legal associations and the Heritage Development Board of Saint John.

Spare Time: Family time is Julien's respite. Be it indoor games or exploring Saint John's picturesque parks, he cherishes every moment. A rugby enthusiast, Julien has donned multiple hats as a player, captain, coach, and board member, creating ripples in the community.

Ann Gushurst was admitted to the bar in New Brunswick in 1994, and has over two decades of experience in Family Law as a litigator, mediator and collaborative attorney. After graduating from UNB law school, Ann moved to Denver, Colorado. She was a partner at one of Colorado’s leading family law firms until she retired from litigation in 2020 to join the international mediation firm JAMS (Judicial Arbitrators and Mediation Services). Widely recognized as an expert in family law in Colorado, having taught more than 60 accredited continuing legal education courses and being named a Superlawyer for more than a decade, Ann was awarded the Family Law Icon Award in 2024. After joining JAMS, Ann continued working in family law as a mediator/ arbitrator/ collaborative facilitator/ neutral. In 2025, Ann returned to New Brunswick and joined Gandy & Associates and now offers mediation and facilitated settlement services for all types of family law matters in Saint John, NB. Ms. Gushurst approaches family law disputes with the goal of minimizing the emotional and financial costs of prolonged conflict. She has decades of experience in helping people settle conflicted divorces and, in particular, understands the nuances and emotional toll of resolving parenting conflicts. She is a proud member of the New Brunswick Law Society.

Rachel is the backbone of our administrative processes. With a keen eye for detail and an unmatched work ethic, she ensures the firm's operations run smoothly. Her expertise plays a pivotal role in the success of our legal endeavors.

Samantha graduated with Honours from Eastern College in 2020 with a Diploma in Paralegal Studies and further expanded her qualifications by earning herself a Private Investigator Certificate in 2023. She joined our firm in August 2024 and has truly found her passion in the work we do here.

Spare Time: When Samantha’s not at work, you’ll find her spending quality time with her four wonderful children, her amazing fiancé, and their beloved dog, Mango.

Becca graduated from the University of King's College with a Bachelor of Science in 2023. Following her graduation, she began working at our firm where she found a passion for assisting people with their legal matters.

Spare Time: Outside of the office, Becca can be found outdoors and trying new sports and activities.

Hannah graduated from Saint John High School in 2024. Prior to graduation, she was one of the few students selected for a co-op placement at a local law firm, where she gained valuable early experience in the legal field. Following her graduation, she joined our team and quickly discovered a passion for helping clients navigate their legal matters with care and dedication.

Spare Time: Outside the office, Hannah can be found spending time outdoors and exploring nature.

Norman is a first-year JD student at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. He graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Arts with honours, completing a combined major in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. As an aspiring legal professional, he is passionate about building a strong foundation in law and look forward to gaining practical experience and assisting clients with their legal matters during his time at Gandy & Associates.
